Eamon Springall, president of STITCHED, was joined by Charly Springall and board members of the Lee Business School Alumni Chapter when he presented a check for $45,000 to Dr. Gerry Sanders, Dean of the Lee Business School. The donation made by Springall will establish a new scholarship endowment – the Lee Business School Alumni Chapter Scholarship Endowed by STITCHED.
STITCHED teamed up with UNLV’s Lee Business School Alumni Chapter on Saturday, November 6 with a one-day shopping event at the STITCHED Pop Up at Tivoli Village to fund the new scholarship. Springall, also a board member of the LBS Alumni Chapter, donated 100% of the sales from the event to create the endowed scholarship, which will be awarded annually to a deserving student.
“We set out to fund a $30,000 endowed scholarship. Thanks to the commitment from our board, employees, and community, we’re donating $45,000, with our focus set on building the STITCHED endowment to over $100,000 in the coming years” said Springall. “We’re deeply grateful for the opportunity to support the next generation of UNLV educated business leaders. It’s an honor to give back to the school that has been so formative to me personally, and more importantly, such a pillar in our great city.”
“We are grateful to our alumni chapter, Eamon, and STITCHED, for their commitment to Lee Business School,” said Gerry Sanders, dean of the Lee Business School. “The newly endowed scholarship not only recognizes and supports our current students, it also establishes a legacy for our alumni for years to come.”
“This donation is the culmination of a three-year effort by the Lee Alumni Board to achieve our goal of endowing a scholarship,” said Ray Ocampo, President of the Lee Business School Alumni Chapter. “What started out as a stretch goal for the Board has come to fruition through our partnership with Eamon and STITCHED, and we are grateful for their commitment to the school and community in supporting this initiative.”
