Hello, I’m Naomi Maldonado and I’m the founder & CEO of Naomi’s Glow Skin Care! Here’s a little bit about me. I was born in Las Vegas, and I’m 20 years old. I love living here but Las Vegas is definitely hard on your skin!
Here in the valley, we have 0 humidity, and our temperatures reach 120 degrees. Caring for your skin is essential in this environment. I learned this at a very young age. As a result, I struggled to find skin care products that could care for my skin in such an extreme climate. When I say I have literally tried everything, I have. I struggled with dry and blotchy skin. Like all women, I’ve done my best to cover it up with makeup, but as you know that just made it worse.
Through my journey of appropriate skincare, no matter where you live, I discovered Sea Moss. I learned that is has 92 minerals and vitamins and can heal your skin from the inside out. I then began reading ingredients of major skincare products. I noticed they may have 5 or 6 vitamins and minerals, but they also have an extreme amount of harsh chemicals and dyes that can hurt the skin long-term. I then realize why these products were not working on my skin. So, I began testing sea moss and learning how to create skincare products from it.
Through my journey, my dry skin and eczema went away. I couldn’t believe it. My friends and family noticed the change in my skin and asked me what I was doing. I started giving the product to friends and family that had difficulty with their skin. After about 3 months everyone who tried the product told me the public deserved this incorporates into their skincare too.
I was overjoyed that I made something that could help people, make them happier, and bring so much confidence. Then this is when the hard part started. I had to create a business plan and a budget. I had to start selling my product rather than giving it away. At first it was very scary. However, I’ve learned if you make a good product, people will buy it.
