Former Raiders Captain, Alec Ingold, returned to Las Vegas to host the 2022 Alec Ingold Youth Football Summit, alongside Tyler Feldman, of local sports and celebrity memorabilia company, Inscriptagraphs, to treat 100 children in the foster-care system to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take to the field alongside Ingold, current Raiders punter, A.J. Cole, Raiders alumni, Rod Martin (2-time Super Bowl star), and Palo Verde High School‘s varsity football team and coach, Joe Aznarez at the Las Vegas Sports Park on Friday, June 24.
Surprising the crowd upon arrival and heightening energy for the day was Chance, the mascot for the Vegas Golden Knights, who delighted the children with his signature dance moves.
Partnering with Las Vegas non-profit, Raise The Future, the attending foster youth, in grades third through eighth, spent a memorable evening learning first-hand from the pros, professional technique, the importance of sportsmanship and workout drills. Ingold, who was adopted himself, had an uplifting pep talk with the children, sharing details about his adoption and motivating the group to reach for their dreams and spread more love into the world. Throughout the affair, Ingold, Cole and Martin, signed autographs, posed for photos and shared insight on what it’s like to be a professional NFL player.
Ingold surprised the group by naming both a foster-youth and Palo Verde high-school footballer, MVPs for the day, treating them each to a full-size blue-tooth boombox. Following the field festivities, the group was treated to a team meal of cheeseburgers and fries. Every attendee received a custom slingback backpack filled with a custom event t-shirt, hat, certified autographed hockey puck from various Vegas Golden Knight players and a mini boombox.
