The well-known Huntridge Theater closed back in 2004 and remained closed until last week, in which J Dapper of Dapper Companies held a relighting ceremony of the marquee for the Huntridge, which he purchased about 2 years ago. The Huntridge first opened in Las Vegas in 1944 as a cinema. Las Vegas locals’ have attended the historic venue for movies as children, punk rock concerts as teenagers and many more memories made there. On Friday, April 7th about 5:30pm, locals returned to the anticipation of the relighting of the Huntridge marquee. From previous state senators, former state legislators, families with children in strollers and many more gathered for this event and Dapper Companies has said they will start renovations in about 12 months which will take about a year to complete. This is a welcome revitalization in our community and many memories will assuredly once again be made at the Huntridge.
