Erika has spent nearly two decades immersed in the science of maintaining youth and vitality in aging with a focus on the inside and out. Her first foray as an entrepreneur was catalyzed after working twelve years in Dermatology, where she tried the most expensive skin brands for free but felt dismayed at the results per price point. This, along with a demand by older patients desiring trending ingredients, with an affordable price tag, bore the creation of Parasol Dermaceuticals. This skincare line was initially launched on Amazon and parasolderm.com and it is the foundation of Erika’s personal skincare routine.
Yet, with her own progression into middle-age, her entrepreneurial spirit flamed. She started rethinking the origins of beauty. Her experience taught her that beautiful skin is made from a healthy within, as reflected on our largest organ. As the adage states, “the skin is the window to the body!” This was a realization, that homeostasis of organ function, cellular processes and hormones played a larger part in beauty and aging than what was expressed in beauty lore. One in which Erika wanted to delve into for the benefit of herself, and for others heading into perimenopause, menopause and andropause. These ideals synergized the creation of a space that could be all things Anti-Aging and Beauty, opening the doors for Parasol Aesthetics, Dermatology & Wellness Clinic in 2019. It is through these doors that Erika helps an aging Vegas population to stay ‘forever young!”
Within her clinic, classic cosmetic procedures are offered such as botulinum toxins, dermal fillers, PDO Threads, micro-needling, chemical peels, and lasers along with two other unique specialties, Dermatology and Functional Wellness. With her experience as an entrepreneur and NP with a second master’s in journalism & communications, Erika has also been chosen as a medical expert in the media. She has made appearances on television, radio, magazines, and public speaking events. Her experience, vision and creation in this industry has made her a guru of not only cosmetics, but also, dermatology, hormone balancing, medical weight-loss, biohacking, and all things that sip from the fountain of youth.
