Tickets on sale now for the March 6th event
The Shade Tree, a 24-hour accessible shelter designed to specifically meet the needs of women and children in crisis, announces the return of Champagne and Pearls, the organization’s signature event showcasing Southern Nevada’s female leaders in honor of International Women’s Day. The event takes place on Sunday, March 6, two days in advance of International Women’s Day observed on Tuesday, March 8. Tickets are available for purchase at http://bidpal.net/champagneandpearls and start at $125 per person, with tables of eight available for $950. Each guest receives brunch, mimosas, an interactive panel discussion, gift bag, shopping experience and more. Proceeds will support The Shade Tree’s mission to provide safe shelter to homeless and abused women and children in crisis and offer life-changing services promoting stability, dignity and self-reliance.
After a successful inaugural event in 2020 followed by a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic in 2021, Champagne and Pearls returns to Emerald at Queensridge with a powerful lineup of Southern Nevada female trailblazers, including Punam Mathur, philanthropist and executive director of the Elaine P. Wynn & Family Foundation, who will discuss diversity, ethnicity and experience among local female leaders and will serve as moderator. Panelists include Lin Jerome and Alexandra Lourdes, co-founders of Refined Hospitality, Café Lola, Saint Honoré Doughnuts and The Refined Agency; Kortney Olson, CEO of GRRRL Clothing; Linda Perez, CEO of The Shade Tree; and Dr. Kate Zhong, Adjunct Professor UNLV and CEO of CNS Innovations. Travis Turner, a Shade Tree board member, will serve as master of ceremonies.
Throughout the event, guests will have the opportunity to shop items crafted by local female artisans. Guests must be 21 years of age and older. COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place, including proof of vaccination card or negative COVID test within 72 hours shown at the door required for entry.
