Dr. H.L. Greenberg and Dr. David Cotter of Las Vegas Dermatology®
The Derm Bros® of Las Vegas Dermatology® began as a live streaming internet-based question and answer session amidst the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, while the City of Entertainment- Las Vegas, was on lockdown with founder Dr. H.L. Greenberg and Dr. David Cotter interacting with viewers’ Dermatology questions across multiple social media platforms. After gaining momentum, The Derm Bros® evolved into a live lecture-based question and answer program to educate the community, covering such topics as “Skin Cancer and Scars”, “Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis, and Psoriatic Mimics”, and “All Lasers, All the Time”. Active in the community, Dr. Greenberg has served on the Board of the Clark County Medical Society and Dr. Cotter has served as advisor to medical students interested in becoming Dermatologists- together they have founded the Las Vegas Dermatology® Foundation to raise community awareness of dermatology and promote skin health. Partners in a premiere Las Vegas Dermatology® clinic, these Board-Certified Dermatologists lecture nationally and internationally on a variety of topics and are considered experts in Acne, Eczema, Melanoma, Psoriasis, and Lasers all while caring for fascinating, dynamic, and interesting Dermatology patients on the exciting and action-packed backdrop of fabulous Las Vegas.
Dr. David Cotter is a third generation Las Vegas Native and was UNLV’s most outstanding undergraduate in 2008 with a biology degree. A combined M.D., Ph.D. from the prestigious Washington University School of Medicine followed, where Dr. Cotter completed his program in record-time while publishing many scientific papers. Returning home to Las Vegas, he completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he was named “Intern of the Year” and first met Dr. Greenberg who was giving a lecture to the Medicine Residents at UNLV. Dr. Cotter completed Dermatology training and served as Chief Dermatology Resident at the University of California San Diego. With a wide range of expertise including Pediatric Dermatology, Medical Dermatology, Scar Treatments, Cosmetic Dermatology, and Dermatologic Surgery to Las Vegas Dermatology®. Optimistic and enthusiastic, a husband, and father of two, Dr. Cotter treats his patients like his family, and often treats his family as patients.
Dr. H.L. Greenberg always wanted to live in Las Vegas. Growing up in Colorado Springs, Olympic City, USA; his neighbor was the eighth man on the moon, and instilled the mentality, “if my neighbor could walk on the moon, with persistence I can achieve anything.” After a semester of track at the University of Michigan, Dr. Greenberg gave up competitive running to focus on his studies- graduating Michigan with Honors, Medical School at Wayne State University in Downtown Detroit, an entire Internal Medicine Residency at Georgetown University Hospital and Dermatology Residency at Scott & White of The Texas A&M University Hospital System. In 2007 Dr. Greenberg established Las Vegas Dermatology because he wanted the type of practice he would want to go as a patient- caring, educational, warm, and hi-tech where quality is the most important component. Dr. Greenberg knew so long as he provided great quality, and put patients first, the practice would be successful. Known as Dr. Vegas, Greenberg speaks at National and International meetings, has written multiple journal articles, book chapters, and made award winning educational videos on a wide variety of dermatologic issues and conditions.
