Fun Things to do this Spring in Vegas!

Las Vegas locals know that Vegas is widely known for its nightlife, casinos, restaurants, and shows. What a lot of locals still don’t know is there is a wealth of outdoor activities in our city, especially during the warmer spring weather and season. Longer days make it the perfect time to explore the great outdoors and try something new.

From land to water, there are a lot of different fun outdoor activities to put a spring in your step as the new season approaches. Take a closer look at fun spring activities for adults in Las Vegas that don’t require dressing up and walking into a casino.

Kayaking in Las Vegas

Kayaking is a fantastic way to explore the natural beauty of the city, and there are plenty of opportunities to do so in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Bay and Lake Mead are popular destinations for kayakers, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape and an escape from the bustling city.

A fun kayaking tour in Las Vegas is the Hoover Dam and Hot Springs Hike. This full-day adventure takes you to the breathtaking Hoover Dam and the surrounding Lake Mead National Recreation Area. You’ll paddle through the beautiful scenery, see the famous Hoover Dam from a unique perspective, and take a swim in the lake if you’d like. Kayak from the base of the Hoover Dam down the Colorado River, and through the Black Canyon. Then stop for a hike to hot spring pools hidden within side canyons. The tour is designed for those with some kayaking experience, but the guides will be on hand to help you throughout the journey. You’ll also have the opportunity to swim and relax in a secluded cove, making it a great way to spend a spring day in Las Vegas.

One of the more photogenic spring kayaking tours is visiting the Emerald Cave located within the Black Canyon. Starting at Willow Beach, you will paddle through the Colorado River to find the secluded cave within the Black Canyon’s water trail.

If you’re looking for a more serene kayaking experience, consider a sunset kayaking tour on Lake Mojave. As the sun sets, you’ll paddle through the calm waters, surrounded by stunning views of the surrounding mountains and desert. This tour is a great option for couples or small groups and is sure to be a memorable experience.

Hot Air Ballon Rides

Just outside of Pahrump, board the hot air balloon and take off with the rising sun for an hour flight across the desert landscape. Some tours also includes a complimentary French Champagne Toast as you soar over the Las Vegas Strip.
