Mondays Dark, created in 2013 by Cheryl Daro and Mark Shunock is Vegas’ premiere variety show for a cause. Twice a month, Mondays Dark gathers an eclectic cast of guests—including musical acts and stars from Hollywood and The Strip—for 90 minutes of chat, entertainment and a lot of laughs.
The mission of Mondays Dark is to raise $10K in 90 minutes. The $20 variety show has become one of the hottest tickets in town and the list of charities waiting to partner with Mondays Dark continues to grow. Partnering with 100 local organizations, Mondays Dark has raised over 1 million dollars and every penny has stayed here in Las Vegas.
The date for Project Marilyn will be May 9th. This date was specifically chosen in honor of Mother’s Day being May 8th. For those of you who aren’t aware, Project Marilyn is named after their Founder’s mother Marilyn. She passed from cancer in 2011 and they dedicate the mission of giving people dignity to her.

Project Marilyn is a nonprofit in Southern Nevada whose mission is to ensure everyone has the supplies needed to have a healthy and dignified period. Period Poverty is the lack of access to basic period supplies and proper hygiene facilities. 2 in 5 people cannot afford period supplies in a given year due to lack of income. The 501c3 was established in April of 2019 and is dedicated to the Founder’s mother Marilyn, who passed in 2011.
